The sweet Turin’s chocolate history

Turin knows chocolate in the first days of August 1585 thanks to the marriage between Catherine Michelle of Spain and Charles Emmanuel I, Duke of Savoy.
Thanks to the young princess, whose court brought along the precious cocoa beans sailing from America on Cortez ships , chocolate was gifted to Piedmont more than 400 years ago.
And this is the same chocolate which still nowadays Leone passionately produces with careful and wise skills, from bean to bar, from hot air roasting to the long patient lullaby of excellence in stone flat conches.
Miraflores is the last Leone branded deliciousness: dark chocolate tablets studded with a myriad of drowned rose and violet candy crystals.
